Coming up- the end of Crisis as we know it....

I have been grappling with a simple concept since mid-2007. How long will this "Mid-Life Crisis" continue. Maintaining this thought process as the basis for a music show has gotten a bit tedious. In fact things have been flowing reasonably well of late and maintaining a visage of borderline calamity is disingenuous. But where is the solution?

As with most things in life the solution comes from a direction totally outside of my field of view. Long story short, Rando Radio has to re-boot. We will continue to pursue our goals of providing you with music that you are not likely to hear on mainstream commercial outlets. We will bring our individual sensibilities to our programming in the manner to which you have become accustomed since our official launch in 2008.

In order to make this happen a new entity has been created- Area 24 Radio. If you put the phrase "area 24" into your favorite search engine, you will come up with a bunch of interesting entries; the most logical for us is that we are remaining in Building 24 of the Garnerville Arts Center- click here to go to their website. The rest is left up to all of us to play with as we go along. Our new mantra is "Area 24 Radio- Handmade. Free Form. Worldwide". We will remain non-commercial and look for listener support.

There will be some new additions to our current gang as time moves on with their own world views and musical tastes. While our primary focus is the music we may be inclined to make our views known... and your reaction to that will be what it will be.

We have also been noticing some things NOT to do... as a result our new website will be easier to negotiate and our stuff easier to find.

Kudos to Christine Potter and Tom Jones for stepping up to the plate in their way, and Treavor Hastings for all his efforts in his work. I would be remiss if I didn't give props to Lou Cannizzaro for all his insights, guidance and honesty with all of us in this process. The rest of us have to come up to speed, and we will- each in our own way.
